Work performed at stage 1: 

- Draft documentation has been developed for finalizing a pilot plant for studying the process of biomass torrefaction
- The pilot plant for the research of the biomass torrefaction process has been finalized
- A program and research methods have been developed for a pilot biomass torrefaction and pyrolysis plant
- Studies of the process of torrefaction of three types of biomass (sunflower husk, flax fire, crushed straw) have been conducted at a pilot plant.
- Studies of changes in the chemical composition of biomass as a result of charging depending on the temperature (200 and 250 ° C) and the duration of the process (30, 45 and 60 minutes)
- Have been carried out. Studies of the chemical composition of the layer materials, including the study of the chemical composition of the formed agglomerates, during two-stage combustion in a fluidized bed of quartz and olivine sand of the initial biomass: sunflower husks, bonfires of flax and shredded straw
